Week Two Promises
So we are on a roll in stitching two weeks worth of promises together. We are excited to keep this thing moving, so we drew new promises and set out to fulfill our promises to each other.
Tracy - Spend a Day with Shea
Why was this promise important to you?
We don't get to spend a lot of fun time just Shea and I alone, so it was important to me to carve out some of that time.
How did it feel to fulfill your promise?
We are spending the day together tomorrow as it is a holiday, but otherwise, I think it is going to be fun to reconnect and spend some time out of the house.
Shea - Paint a Picture
Why was this promise important to you?
Because I love to paint, and I don't do it enough. It's fun and exciting, and I want to get better at it.
How did it feel to fulfill your promise?
It felt good. It felt good to be able to paint again. It felt like a better use of my time instead of wasting it staring at a screen. I felt accomplished when the painting was done and I liked what I painted.

Kyle - Write Three New Jokes
Why was this promise important to you?
I took a standup comedy class in November and December, and I really enjoyed myself, so I wanted to keep going with it. I'm enrolled in a class starting at the end of January, so it is good to keep the creative juices flowing.
How did it feel to fulfill your promise?
I waited until the last minute, so I only got to it today (Sunday) and I don't like writing under pressure like that, although I often do. When I allow myself to have some lead time, I generally write rough drafts and then hone it throughout the week. I only got the rough drafts done, but any time I spend with my butt in a seat writing is time well spent in my opinion, so I feel good about it. I'm hoping to go into my new class with some new material, so I'm one step closer.
Our promises for next week?
